Born in Kenya and spinning since 2000, DJ Mpenzi approaches every set with care, intuition, and deep respect for the room. His name, Mpenzi, comes from what his mother and grandmother called him—rooted in the Swahili phrase Mpenzi Wangu, meaning my love. That spirit of connection and intention carries through everything he plays.

His musical range is wide and soulful, moving through R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall, Salsa, Pop, and the spaces in between. Rather than chasing moments, Mpenzi focuses on flow—listening closely, reading the energy, and letting the music unfold naturally.

Whether at a club, house party, or private gathering, his sets are steady, thoughtful, and in tune with the people in front of him. When DJ Mpenzi is on the decks, the night feels easy, connected, and just a little more intentional.
